Clarobscurs 2023
“Clarobscurs” is much more than a simple transmedia project. It becomes a profound reflection of the contradictions that arise when success arrives unexpectedly, raising the dilemma of feeling undeserving and persisting internal dissatisfaction. Thus, through an expressive work, this project seeks to explore and narrate the subjective experiences of artists, highlighting how they confront their own insecurities, self-sabotage, and imposter syndrome. These tendencies hold particular relevance in artistic or creative domains, potentially leading to chronic dissatisfaction.
At the heart of this project lies a fiction short film starring Juanjo. He is a painter immersed in internal conflicts after achieving his first success unexpectedly.
Through the transmedia platform, the fictional universe is amplified. This support allows for a more detailed treatment of ideas related to the central theme, giving them greater visibility. It is within this framework that other platforms emerge, favoring the addition of new perspectives and enriching the central discourse.
Furthermore, this project encompasses a wide range of formats and platforms, contributing to its expansion and achievement of its objectives. All these facets have been developed with the original idea of the project, including the short film, the documentary, social media, installation, and the web platform. Moreover, from the transmedia support that the project takes as a tool, we aim to expand the universe that shapes the fiction and more carefully address the ideas that are part of the theme and give it visibility. This is where the rest of the platforms come into play, adding layers of content linked to the project’s main intention.
Additionally, it is important to note that this project is carried out without profit motives within the academic university framework, as a Final Degree Project.
In conclusion, “Clarobscurs” seeks to reflect on the complexity of emotions and the profound impact of internal contradictions in the artistic field, offering an intimate vision of human experiences in these contexts.
