¿Dónde dejé mis llaves? 2022
“¿Dónde dejé mis llaves?” is an insightful project developed by students enrolled in the Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication degree. It tackles the concerning issue of memory loss among youn individuals, a condition conventionally associated with older age groups but also manifesting within various other demographics. The primary objective of this project is to unveil and emphasize this reality through multiple mediums such as a thought-provoking short film, various online platforms including social media networks and a dedicated website, and the utilization of a physical installation.
Within the narrative of the short film, we are introduced to the protagonist navigating through a sequence of uncomfortable situations, gradually building tension until she reaches her home, where an unexpected encounter with a stranger occurs. It is in this moment that pivotal decisions are made, shaping and unraveling the plot.
Emma, having completed her shopping errands, returns to her apartment building. Before she can enter, she’s intercepted by her rather eccentric and gossipy neighbor, initiating a conversation. After finally extricating herself from the conversation, she notices a group of teenagers seated on a staircase observing her while engaged in their own discussion. Feeling a sense of unease, she chooses to disregard their presence and proceeds into the building. While rummaging through her mailbox, she observes her number encircled in red, a detail she dismisses without much consideration. Upon reaching her floor, she faces another interruption, this time from her somewhat peculiar and reclusive neighbor, seeking conversation.
Despite her time constraints due to pending work, Emma engages in a brief, courteous conversation with him before proceeding towards her own apartment door. However, she encounters yet another obstacle: the inability to locate her keys for entry. Growing increasingly anxious, she conducts a thorough search until she realizes the door isn’t securely shut. With caution and a hint of distrust, she cautiously enters her apartment only to discover a man, approximately aged between 50-60, soundly asleep on her sofa.
