L’art de l’entorn físic. 2021

Production design in the audiovisual field is one of the key elements for visual storytelling. In this work carried out by students in the Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication degree, a review of the relationships within this department is conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of its functioning.

From the origin of the term, the analysis of its responsibilities, and the team working under its influence, we will comprehend the role of the production designer. The working methodology showcases the diversity of functions it performs and emphasizes the use of visualization tools. Finally, the fundamentals considered when creating the design and how these are applied to the physical space; sets, props, equipment, and character characterization are explained.

Based on this theoretical framework, an art direction will be carried out, applying the analyzed processes.
