LETHE – Interactive short story 2019
LETHE is a short story that has the goal of creating an immersive environment, through the digital narrative, in order to try to break the stigma surrounding schizophrenia.
An interactive story based in the spectrum of schizophrenia, in a format that goes beyond text. In this way, it runs away from the rigid structures of the traditional lineal narrative, giving protagonism and, by extension, the control of the story to the reader, transforming in this way his status from passive spectator to active main character. The final goal of LETHE is to generate and experience with a high degree of immersion, through fusion with text, visuals, kinetic typography, audio design and a musical atmosphere. Interpreting metaphorically some of the effects of the psychotic disorders, that distort the perception of reality, the experience helps the user to understand and empathize with the people who suffer this.
