Making Of
Mater Inerta. Human faces on the screen. 2021
Mater Inerta. Human Faces on the Screen is a final degree project of the students in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication.
Working with non-actors is becoming increasingly common in contemporary auteur cinema that is created between the boundaries of documentary and fiction. This work aims to holistically approach working with non-actors in fiction cinema to explore the humanistic and creative richness it offers. Firstly, it proposes a framework for reflection on cinematic acting and how it contributes to the film’s construction, and then it will showcase the process that took place during directing non-actors in the short film Mater Inerta directed by the same author.
