MISERICÒRDIA 2021
Misericòrdia. The symbiosis of artistic expression channels within urban music. It is a project carried out by students in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication that emerges with the intention of promoting and boosting contemporary artistic expression, emphasizing the multidisciplinary language characteristic of younger generations. It aims to explore all the possibilities offered by new media. Under this philosophy, Mercy comes to light: a team name that aims to bring together creatives and promote their works, closely linked to the urban music scene.
In Misericòrdia, Venus is the first project of this team and is based on the composition of a musical piece and the creation of an accompanying music video. This video will tell a story, enhancing the viewer’s experience while listening to the song, under a key concept: the search for love in external figures and its consequences. The goal is to create unique synergies between the song and the video, thus conveying the intended message.
In the video, inside a small church, a priest prepares to perform the first communion of two children from the village. Meanwhile, the boy prepares to try to get the attention of the girl attending. He is assisted by a character dressed as a Roman, a product of his imagination. But in the middle of the ceremony, they decide to escape, fleeing from the adults. In the end, it will be revealed if this is really what the boy was looking for and what role the priest plays in this story.
