Laura Bisbe completed her degree in Audiovisual Communication and Multimedia (100% English) at ERAM – UdG and, while still studying, participated in an exchange program at Kea – Copenhagen School of Design and Technology for one semester. After finishing her degree, she pursued a master’s in Interaction Design at Umeå Institute of Design.
She has worked on various interactive projects such as “Lost In Ana’s Mirage”, a master’s thesis about an immersive exhibition on Anorexia Nervosa aimed at fostering understanding and empathy; “Koi”, a project encompassing different tools to help young children with diabetes manage their condition; and “Asteria”, an installation simulating a clinic for designer babies that explores the ethical boundaries of genetic modification.
In addition to interactive or immersive projects, she has also worked on others related to interactive prototypes, such as “Mirror”, a prototype that offers a unique storytelling experience that responds to your emotions.
In terms of digital design, she has developed projects such as “Kia”, an Apple Watch app that controls a cinema system inside a Kia e-Niro autonomous car, and “Ally”, an application that helps users find allergy-friendly restaurants.
She works as an experience designer at a studio called Tellart in Amsterdam and collaborates on one of the pavilions for the Universal Exposition in Osaka. Regarding digital design, she previously worked at a Paris-based studio named Meaningful, where she participated in the redesign of an HMI that was nominated for the UX Design Awards 2023.
Additionally, since her undergraduate thesis, which focused on the semiotics of color, she has continued her research in this field. At Meaningful, she conducted research on color and light and contributed to the design of an exhibition at the Villa Savoy. In her role, she is regarded as an expert in color and continues to expand her knowledge in this area.
