Marc Vila completed a Degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication at ERAM – UdG, where he specialized in graphic and advertising art. Before that, he completed a Higher Technician qualification in 3D Animation, Games, and Interactive Environments at Jesuïtes Sarrià – Sant Ignasi, a joint program that provided him with a solid foundation to develop his skills in the digital and audiovisual world.
His ability to integrate technique with creativity has allowed him to stand out in the field of visual design. He currently masters a wide range of tools, such as Unreal Engine 5, Cinema 4D, Octane Render, After Effects, Marvelous Designer, Daz Studio, and Embergen FX, which he uses daily to create unique works.
Marc is currently working as a 3D graphics artist at martes.studio, an audiovisual studio specializing in art direction, postproduction, editing, animation, and graphic design. There, he works as a 3D artist, environment designer, animator, and postproducer. Additionally, he has taught at ERAM, where he taught the Audiovisual Design course. In this teaching role, he instructed students in animation and composition techniques using After Effects, as well as tools for creating 3D graphics and integrating them with other visual formats.
One of the highlights of his career was receiving the Laus Silver Digital Students award for the transmedia project Umbra, which was awarded in November 2020 by ADG-FAD. This project includes a website with an interactive visual narrative and an immersive participatory installation. Through a metaphorical and introspective language, Umbra invites personalized reflection. The unique design, consistent with the emotions of the protagonist, makes this creation a one-of-a-kind piece.
