6th edition of the Leo Pedrico Feminist Photo Award
We bring you the announcement of the 6th edition of the Feminist Leo Pedrico Photographic Award that this year we dedicate to “Women and Sports”, in enclosed you will find the bases.
Sport is one of the most masculinized areas where women make up a third of the total. Gender discrimination continues to exist in most sports with large inequalities between men and women, where recognition of female effort is far below male. It’s for this reason that the subject of the Leonor Pedrico Prize for Feminist Photography this year in its 6th edition will focus on “Women and sport”, a real obstacle course to be able to see everything that relates to inequalities and underestimation to women athletes. We want an intersectional look where all our capacities and diversities are reflected in the sport practice or not.
