Alex Comas and Willy Vila, ERAM alumni, candidates for the Gaudí Awards 2025 with the film “Ilusión de Verano”
“Ilúsión de Verano“, a fictional film created and directed by the alumni of the Graduate in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication from the ERAM, Alex Comas, has been selected as a candidate for the prestigious 17th Gaudí Awards 2025, organized by the Academy of Catalan Cinema.

The film is in the pre-selection phase for the nominations, which will be made public on December 5, before the gala that will take place on Saturday 18 January 2025 at Barcelona International Convention Center (CCIB). From November 25, 2024, you can see the film in cinemas in Catalonia.
Comas, who not only directed but also wrote, edited and produced the film as an associate producer, worked together with the alumnus Willy Vila, responsible for the direct production supervision, design and sound, as well as associate producer.

Ilusión de Verano places us at the end of summer, at the gates of a new school year, where a young couple, Eric and Anna, they make the drastic decision to run away from home and embark on a road trip without a specific destination. On the run, they cross paths with Alan, an older, rather enigmatic man, who asks for their help in taking him to a remote beach where he intends to commit suicide. They share a dream, that of being free, but the price they end up paying will be very high.
The film, a coming-of-age drama and road movie, features the performances of Jordi Banacolocha as Alan, Claud Hernández as Anna and Marc Pineda as Eric.
From ERAM we celebrate the contribution of these students to the Catalan film scene and hope that their candidacy will translate into final nominations this December, joining the long tradition of Catalan cinema recognized by the Gaudi Awards, one of the most important events in Catalan cinema.
