“Un segundo bajo la arena”wins the Moritz Award at Fira Tàrrega.
The performance “Un segundo bajo la arena” by the Col·lectiu Desasosiego has been awarded the Moritz Prize for the Best Street Arts Premiere of 2022 at FiraTàrrega. This piece is part of the support program for scenic creation called “Suport a la Creació.” The award, which recognizes the excellent work and creativity of the companies, was granted by FiraTàrrega.
The Col·lectiu Desasosiego was born as a result of an academic project at the ERAM University School, inspired by Federico García Lorca’s play “Bodas de Sangre.” Three of the original members decided to continue with the project and create the Col·lectiu Desasosiego. Among them are Camille Latron, Àlex Solsona, and Carla Coll, with the collaboration of Gaspar Corts in this piece.
The Moritz Prize of FiraTàrrega 2022 was decided based on the results of a vote among all accredited professionals who attended the street arts premieres. It’s worth noting that FiraTàrrega 2022 hosted 60 companies, with 15 of them being part of the “Suport a la Creació” program. The 2022 edition featured the participation of 419 artists from 8 different countries, performing in 25 different exhibition spaces. The 2022 Fira recorded the presence of 1,031 professionals from 520 entities across 25 countries.
