Jordi Duran Roldós is a Doctor of Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. He holds a Master's Degree in Inclusive Education by the University of Lleida, University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia and University of the Balearic Islands; as well as a Degree in Catalan Philology and a Degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Girona. He has also studied Theatre Direction and Dramaturgy at the Barcelona's Institut del Teatre (ESAD).
As a cultural manager, he founded and directed the Festival Z (2021-2024) specializing in emerging scenes; he has been Artistic Director of FiraTàrrega (2011-2018) and head of programming (2003-2010) at the same institution, as well as Co-Creator and Co-Director of the Master's Degree in Street Arts Creation by the University of Lleida and FiraTàrrega (2013-2017) ). He is currently part of the Artistic Direction team of the MAC Festival - La Mercè and the Christmas Festival of Barcelona, both organized by the Culture Institute of Barcelona (ICUB).
Recently, as stage director and playwright, he has collaborated with creators such as Virginia Fochs, Carla Rovira, Marie Gyselbrecht (Peeping Tom), Catalina Carrasco (Baal contemporary dance company), El Pot Petit or Marga Socias, with whom they won the Moritz Award of professional voting for the best street theatre premiere of FiraTàrrega 2023 for the show O.R.E.L.L.E.S.
